After hanging out with other lolitas for a few years, I think I’m going back to being a lonelita forever. Save for a few online lolita friends I’ve met, I just have nothing in common with anyone aside from the clothes. I’ve been a near daily lolita for years and find no joy going out in a group of lolitas. I also find the things people say to be abjectly annoying/new. Things like, making a big deal about “brand” (“I wouldn’t let ~my brand~ touch that park bench!” Coming from someone with a wardrobe full of brand, just do your laundry. Stuff like that.), talking about insignificant drama even though we’re all adults, not knowing basic things about the fashion. Those all kind of get my goat, on top of the other reasons I mentioned. I sound mean, but I’m also really sad about it because I thought I wanted lolita friends. Maybe I still do, and I’m just picky. But online lolita “culture” has made a lot of people completely insufferable to me.

Lolita Bloomers are not underwear. Historically, bloomer and drawers (bloomers being the newer word and usually referring to a closed crotch (more 1880s-1910s. Drawers are usually own crotch and came before, more victorian / american civil war) but the version used in Lolita fashion are both cut differently and are not meant to be the closest layer to the skin. Instead of functioning as underwear, Lolita bloomers are meant to cover the panties and act as an emergency modesty shield for if you fall over or the wind picks up. The goal should never be for your bloomers to be completely visible, but some degree of the bloomer leg showing can be start of the look.

That said, bait-anon is either an idiot or a fetishist for not wearing Lolita bloomers appropriately; it's their own stupid fault for staining them, because if worn correctly they would not be stained.
