As someone who was considering dating Nekko before I'll share my experience. Before I start, no he really didn't do anything wrong but he is still with a scummy person.

> Meet him at anime north 2016 through a photoshoot
> Didn't think much of him so didn't really talk to him.
> He gets added to our local comms FB group
> Start to realize we have quite a bit in common
> Don't see him until an 2017
> Pretty happy to see him
> He is pretty flirtatious with me
> We hit it off and start to see each other out side of con scene
> Start to develop feelings for him
> I tell him and he kind of brushes it off but still wants to see me
> This is around the time of Yeticon
> He is going but I am not
> He offered to take me but since we weren't really dating I didn't feel like making him pay for me.
> Tried talking to him through out the con but he didn't seem that interested in me
> Hear stories that he was flirting with other girls there but try not to think much of it
> He comes back from the con and acts like nothing happened
> We continue to talk and go out the occasional weekend and things seem like they might be going good
> Talk to him about actually dating again
> He bounces between words and says something about how he doesn't want to be in a relationship before he goes to Japan
> He starts to ignore my texts more and more
> Ends up ghosting me a few weeks before his trip
> Start to see his posts on social media while he is a way
> He's pretty much bragging about hooking up with girls everyday
> Clearly this was his intent from the start
> What hurt most is pic related
> He made it seem like the last few months with me meant nothing
> He still hasn't messaged me back since coming back

Honestly he was pretty sweet and caring when we were seeing each other and I don't regret the time I spent with him. I just wish he didn't lead me on for so long or he would of at least acknowledged the fact that there was something between us.
