It definitely started the big pastel/decora sweet boom. I think think and the twinkle mermaid ads are some of the first to use pastel colored wigs.

The version worn in this print ad is a dream dress I'll never own. I remember once it went for sale on auctions a decade ago! I wonder who has it now...

I want a runaway dress too anon. Once upon a time they'd go up for auction I think. I have a vague memory of someone on egl finding the advertisement version of Pastel a la Mode on y!auctions.
