Hi all, longtime lurker and curious about doing all this someday

I have a question: what do you think of pic related as a starting kit? Obviously I might add weapons and personal touches like body paint or tattoos or make changes to my hair or something but are there any suggestions or advice I could be given for when I eventually start all this good shit?

(Got this picture from and /out/ thread about good long distance hiking gear from the "middle ages" that quickly derailed into a medieval cosplay thread, I have more from the thread if requested)

Thinking of making this once I've got the materials together, what do you guys think?
