Do people judge you, or do you judge people on wearing old dresses (2009 release for example) versus the new releases/style?

What about in Japan? Are lolitas who wear the 2010 era dresses seen as unfashionable and dated?

All I know is in the west old trends such as split and pastel wigs, as well as the Rhapsody wig, are looked down upon now.
