Yup yup.

I first started at a convention after emailing Hussie to ask him if he'd be okay with that. He gave me the okay and was rather pleasant about it. Once I returned from the convention that was the second time he contacted me to ask if I'd like to join their Etsy.

From then on I only talked to Rachel even if I'd email Hussie. And despite how I've heard she treated other people she had always been rather nice towards me.

My only huge annoyance is that after 8 emails over the time I worked for them, they never once mentioned me to the fanbase or apparently the WP team cause I got a nasty email which then I showed Hussie and Rachel's conversations allowing me to sell them. They really didn't say they were sorry but just kind of an "oh jk then". All I wanted Hussie or Rachel to say was that I indeed had their permission to sell my horns but every email was ignored.

Oh well, it helped with medical bills at least! And I got to learn a lot about Model Magic that I have it down to a science now.

The only other thing I sold that was HS related that she probably would of been mad about, were my glowing planets for Jade.

For gradients the best method I found was a sponge dry brush method. I usually use dry brushing for all the horns I do and you can make some nice gradients.

The sponge dry brushing gives a smoother horn a little more texture.

Basically you just dab some paint on the sponge/brush, dab it against cardboard or paper towels [something that sucks up the moisture of paint] then do quick little scratchy strokes of paint on the horn. I tend to put the middle orange down first, let that dry completely then dry apply the darker orange-red and yellow parts.

Not too much. I made it a little baggy for comfort's sake and the skirt flared out a bit.so probably 2.5 yards for the skirt and hood and about a yard for the shirt which was a jersey knit so it was extremely comfy.

I also kind of cheated with the wig. I didn't want the hair to weigh down the hood so I used one of my left over wigs that had just the two long strands in the front and hella short in the back.[It was an old Kanda Yuu wig that I trimmed and restyled.]

...and that picture to. MAN I'm not doing well today.
And no problem! Whenever you can and yeah, I'd be happy to help out if you do ever have any questions. Also the people on the HSG threads, sometimes scary but are often really REALLY helpful if you ever have any questions, too.

And thank you!

I'm afraid I've never tried this method but yeah, styrofoam might be the best way to go about that with the nails. If you wanna use the screw method, I believe the screws that were best used were called plastic rivet screws.

They look really good! I like the shape you got for them.

The only thing I'd change possibly, is adding a little more model magic to the base of the horns. That's where a lot of the weight's going to stay, especially when attaching them and with model magic, it actually shrinks up as it dries.

Other than that, they look like they probably won't need sanding at all with how smooth they came out.

Same. I remember back when the Etsy opened, Ebay was selling some hallowed plastic ones that looked rather painful. I kind of hope they don't go with those. I'll be sure to update though if I'm given anymore information!

I was going to offer Hussie some horns for the Kickstarter but Rachel never got back to me. I was even going to ask if he'd like to put up the planets I had done for my Jade cosplay. But he still made a nice profit thanks to the fandom!

Aahh hah sorry about that. I know Avataring is a no no but I figured it's better than a trip for now and I use normal pusheen cats for other threads. Still need to find/save the 'kids' pusheens.

Yeah, the horns I have on my dA aren't really the shape I make them now. Those were the first ones I crafted back in 2011. I've just never gotten around to updating them on the site, my bad. But thanks you for pointing it out so I can!

The problem back then too, was that Hussie usually just has a small inconsistency with different artist's perspective on what the horns should look like but I usually go with what looks popular and good enough.

I'll try to get better pictures up! I've been meaning to use a better camera so I can take picture of them with a flash, natural light and sunlight. I've just been wanting to get them done and shipped out as quickly as I can so I usually never grab pictures of them and I ship them then kind of never hear from the people again. I've asked for pictures on my tumblr in hopes of getting some though! So I hope that follows through.

Sage for vanity I'm so sorry,

I'm so happy to see her cosplay. She's really the only person to ever really send me a picture of herself in cosplay with her horns I made for her so to see her as a REALLY amazing Dolorosa makes me really happy that I gave a good 1% help in that,

I really do think her face is rather beautiful.

Sage cause I'm an idiot.

Oh my goodness thank you so much. And your dress, your figure, everything about it is just absolutely gorgeous. I've wanted to make that dress but just ahhh I always look at yours and just fall so in love with the colors, texture and everything.

Yeah, I noticed that too. When I first got it, it was really easy to manage without the cracks and splits but now a days it's really gummy and I usually try and put it in an air controled plastic bin to dry out some of it before molding or else it's just all a gooey mess.

The thing that most people get annoyed with it is the time waiting which I tell the customer that it's because of that time is what keeps it from splitting, cracking, folding in on itself or just looking really icky.

I think I've just played with it so much now I've gotten used to it but I REALLY miss the old formula.
