How would you guys go about making this hat for Gyro Zeppeli? I'm currently thinking of cutting and painting EVA foam for the extra wide and stuff brim but I'm not sure how that would look since it's meant to be age-worn leather.

I don't see myself being able to do this in actual leather.

I am also considering making the hat in cardboard and add sheet vinyl over the surface. tips? ideas?
