/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Alright so i'm pretty new to styling wigs, and I'm not entirely sure how to go about making this one.
I found this wig http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.5.w4002-4893200905.43.JEzcpH&id=35374189285 which looks relatively accurate, but I feel like the twin tails aren't nearly thick enough and will just look flat and sad.
I was thinking about just making my own pigtail wig by getting a base wig and then another wig to split in half and create the pigtails with. Would this be a better method?
