I've seen brushes stored in old fashion straw dispensers and that seems pretty sanitary and convenient. I'm not sure where you'd find one though.

The only thing I'd be worried about storing brushes in a bag is there might be potential bacterial growth if they're still damp. Not sure if that's actually plausible but just my two cents.
