I've only had one pair of Baby shoes that peeled, but they're literally 15 years old and weren't in perfect condition when I bought them lol. Both my victoire shoes were bought secondhand and have held up fine. But like with peeling bags it seems like a problem some get and some don't.

desu I think brand shoes are worth it when you can find them cheap. Like comparing my Meta and Antaina tea parties, the Meta ones have more weight, the material is thicker, the sole is thicker, the bows are fuller (and detachable) and there's overall just less loose strings, wonky stitches etc. Maybe not worth retail price but I got mine secondhand in perfect condition for like $30 lol
