My bf and I are going as beetlejuice and lydia. However, I'm stuck as to how to make the suit for him. I don't have an impressive amount of skill as a seamstress, but I can make some things. Most of the premade beetlejuice suits I've seen look so crap, like glorified pajamas, so I'm leaning towards making it myself

How difficult would it be to make a suit coat and pants that actually look right and not thin, floppy, baggy, and shitty? Pattern suggestions?
