/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I'm sure this has been asked before many times, but what software would you recommend for making your own patterns/templates?

I plan on ripping a 3d model from a video game, re-scaling the armor to match my dimensions in something like solidworks, then making templates so I can cut it out from eva foam.
