Any tips for starting a cosplay photography service (except for the "just do it")?

Tips on building reputation, how to appeal to cosplayers, etc. It'd be awesome to have some extra money come in during con-time (Toronto).

I've got directing experience so I know how to make people look good on camera but I'm worried cosplay photography is some beast with unexpected challenges.

Also, probably a big problem, I've never had model shoots before. All my good photos have been more action-shots and event shots. If I were to do a service, it'd be less posing and more moving/me shooting - is this recommended to be avoided for cosplayers?

Basically, what do you wish your photographers did? And yeah, I'm reading through the thread.

So, this looks like it was drawn by the same guy who's done the Goddess series. Who and what is OP's pic from?
