Can you guys please not derail the new one into an asinine debate over whether or not it's okay to start a thread shortly before autosage like this one? Part of why it filled up so fast was that shitfest and it's really unnecessary.

Yes, we get it, some people don't approve of starting a thread 15 replies early because it goes against unspoken board rules you made up. That's much less of a cancer to the board than shitting up the thread about what a selfish attentionwhore OP must be.

kid's an over sensitive brat. those girls didn't do anything wrong by con standards. don't want strangers getting excited about your kid's costume? don't dress them up and take them to a con in the first place.

cons aren't the real world, though. it's a different world with a different set of rules. at cons, it's completely acceptable to run up to fellow attendees and hug them, even if you don't know them. it's part of the culture and what makes cons so welcoming. people like you guys who twist a girl's innocent enthusiasm into "harrassment" are the problem here.
