I completely agree about price/quality but when the replica issue came, I think there was a lot of pressure on brand wearing lolitas to be very accepting as long as someone wasn’t wearing a replica, so it got to be a habit to not critique the quality as long as someone was not wearing replicas. Even the shitty bodyline print monsters enjoyed renewed popularity. But the pendulum swings back and with second-hand brand (if you are good enough to hunt it) and people getting pickier about what they spend on, the quality issue is coming up. I wish chinesexlolita would write a taobao guide since she seemed to know enough about fabric and sewing to sort the good from the bad. I’m not sure if I’m motivated enough to make a weibo account and competent enough to wade in with google translate to puzzle it out.
