What materials should I use to make Tokoyami's head? I want to avoid using feathers and furs since I want to keep it stylistic. I'm considering using EVA foam for the base.

Also, how should I construct the head? I've cosplayed object head characters in the past so I have a good idea on how to make the head but it feels like I should treat it as if I'm making a fursuit (and I have no experience with that). If it helps, I want the beak to be movable.

I've been debating getting something like this for a base for Tokoyami. I was trying to figure out if I'd just do a more simple mask structure or go the furry route. I have never taken on a project like this before, but I really love this stupid bird boy.
