>feel like a failure, feel like I don't deserve these cute clothes, start dressing really dumpy and neglect appearance
>move to new area/get new job
>new coworkers (mostly psychology students for some reason) only know me as withdrawn hair-in-a-messy-bun-sweatshirts-and-jeans-chan
>finally starting to overcome depression
>start wearing lolita and otome around the house again
>feel happy for the first time in months
>finally work up courage to do hair and makeup and wear cute subdued outfit outside
>it's a super casual outfit that really can't be considered lolita or otome but compared to what I had gotten used to wearing I felt like the kawaiiest bitch on the block
>run into coworker who is obviously taken aback to see me not looking like a dumpy piece of shit
>next time I'm at work a bunch of them corner me to stage an ~intervention~
