I finally got around to taking pictures of my Bunny House petti - I think some anons wanted to know what the XL was like.
No photos of construction, which is pretty sturdy, but the important things - there's a total of 8 layers of organza at the hem, 6 of which are from doubled-over ruffles attached to single layered tiers above. They aren't gathered but rather pleated into the tier above, which I think is a time and fabric-saving measure and possibly related to why a previous reviewer (blog: a fistful of yen) wasn't that impressed by the level of poof. I'm fairly impressed, but I ordered my petti for a smaller waist size (25" as opposed to 28.5") and also shorter in length, so it may be that Bunny House uses a standard amount of fabric for a given size range.
Either way, photos show poof. I think this might be The One for cupcake-under-layers-of-velveteen.

Love your meta haul! Brass band cat/whatever the hell meta are calling it is gorgeous in person, although the fabric is slightly slubby/textured (which I like, but didn't float some peoples' boats) My only regret was not getting the matching socks in black as well, I have the purple version.
