Sans 2019 is funny because if you went to A-Kon at Fair park that had a lot of issues that they managed there but fucked up here pretty good.

Yeah Fair Park sucked ass but the AA was more like a strip, barely ANY SPACE for them. Last year I was sure they managed to fuck things up harder than before with no space to grow, but credit given, Westin Ballrooms 1-3 and the main programming being in Westin was pretty decent.

It's really just the con cannot manage in such a small ass area.

Don't need to eat my words for the main hall with the cosplay contest, I did enjoy that being on main hall ( and with the fucking line wrapping twice infront of the hotel I can't blame them for not having space ), however Fan-Guru STILL SUCKS ASS and the only way to access the downloaded PDF without it updating is to turn on Airplane mode.

Also cosplay chess was moved to the gaming room floor ( floor 4 ) and they repeated Fair Park's 'lets tape the fucking floor with blue tape' so you had a panel that was kicked out of a room for unplanned area garbage.

TLDR?

PROS:
-They had more stuff. Hats off A-kon, you used space
-Good Programming - I don't give a shit what people said, most of the programming here was good and had a bit of everything - FANS panels which was a bit more essay oriented with even research cited, Fan panels which had stuff like sleepover gaming things for Sailor Moon, and Sonic themed things.
- Maid Cafe wasn't particularly Mid, they were pretty good and the snack was good (unless you asked for high school trash then you paid x20 up front price for sunchips)

CONS:
-YO WHAT THE FUCK A-KON STOP TRYING TO GROW WHEN YOU ALREADY DONT GOT THE SPACE. As was noted the convention panels are already filling. Everything is filling! Except the V-tuber panels which admittedly was on a Friday night but holy fucking shit it was empty for main programming room. Having the panels be nearly ALL FULL IS GREAT, BUT F

I mean, maybe less people will attend next year and so they'll have an appropriate attendance size? Fuck if I know. I went to at least 5 panels, but yeah, the cosplay contest was actually FULL for this year, and the line was still trying to grow. That should be a clear identifier, but without the sponsors maybe this is what A-kon needs to even exist? It could be stuck in some purgatory where it needs exactly that many weebs to make some cash and will decide to ironically coast like a lot of popular animes.

Is this normal, I don't remember the equivalent of a /v/ shill spam in cgl.
