What shape should I use for this cape? I'm thinking a half-circle, but I've never made a cape before, and I'm having a hard time finding comparisons like "This is what a rectangular cape looks like when worn, this is a full circle, this is a quarter circle, etc."

And the best way to do the gold-edged collar bit would be... a separate tiny capelet on top of the larger one?
