I'm not going to quit of course, but I can't say I'm unaffected by parental judgement. If he could understand, or better yet approve like he did when the con came around that would make me happy. My preferred style so far is between casual and classic, so it's not like I'm looking overly childish. All of my collars are high and I don't own a single item in pink.

I have a copy of Kamikaze Girls, but I'm wondering if showing him that will only make matters worse. Momoko is exactly what he said, lost in a world of her own.

But at the same time that description fits me. I've invested tons of time into various nerdy interests and am studying literature at university. I'm extroverted and socially capable to own up to these outlandish dresses I've come to love. They fit me and I look so good. No way I'm going to reserve the frilly feeling to a select few weekends of the year. I just wish he'd understand.
