if you are going the jack chains route I think no leg armour would look better (and jack chains then a five fingered bulky gauntlet also looks weird together aesthetically)

what I would advise on the gauntlet front is a fingerless one or two part gauntlet which are cheaper if you can find one and could look really cool. like on pic.

If you really want leg armour (which is overrated in my eyes) go for long tassets (there are some knee-long version too) or just something that doesn't go below the knees
