Took it off and started yet again. Looks a lot better. Got the angle I wanted this time and it's a lot tighter and more even now. The plus side of cutwork is that it's pretty easy to take off and do over (if you're careful––I've ruined a good 6" of smooth purl by breaking or pulling the coils by now). I feel like I've got a better handle on it now, though it's definitely still not 100% perfect.

Thank you. And best of luck on the GoT stuff, the costume designer's (I feel awful that I can never remember her name) embroidery work on the show was part of what inspired me to really go for it with this costume.
