Okay guys, first post here ever though long time chan lurker. I'll try to keep this relatively short:

I don't watch anime or read manga. I'm not really into Japanese culture. I do however, try to be as loyal a friend as possible. This has placed me in an extremely shit situation (for me) today.

I've got two friends that are really into this stuff. They really go all out and are pretty convincing cosplayers I've heard. So here's my problem, we were all high and we made a bet. I lost, now I have to go with them to the next con and have a costume.

I fail hardcore at anything more than sewing up the rips I get in my jeans. The extent of my knowledge about cosplay and anime amounts to nothing, although I did read your stickies.

Any general knowledge I should be aware of? I wish I didn't have to post this, you guys probably see this shit every other day but I swore I'd put in effort for this.
