You're not going to be able to make that elbow and keep it in a metal-looking plating if you want to still be able to bend and move it. Look up "vriska serket arm tutorial" or "winter soldier arm tutorial."

At a glance,

>trace the newspaper onto craft foam or worbla
>paint, seal, weather
>glue the armour pieces to the sleeve

Another alternative is to sew a sleeve out of silver vinyl and sew/draw the lines onto it (where there are breaks between the plates).
