Yeah, there's a really cheap place close by, but it's still really annoying that I'm getting slapped with another couple hundred I thought I was dodging till right now

Well, you've given yourself two options: pay out the ass with Uber or pay out the ass for parking and give yourself the worst liability possible for a con, let alone anything in a major downtown area by bringing your car. Well, and truly, unironically, take public transit. I would have added the caveat of "unless they're like in middle school", except even that's ridiculous as Seattle has the cleanest, nicest and safest public transit I've ever seen by a gigantic margin. Plus, not listening to parents' advice immediately gives some free bonus cool points. This is certainly how I'd do it anyway.
