I'll go over my costume since I didn't do much sewing for it. All I can tell you NOT to do is buy satin like I did because the hemming is atrocious on my costume (even though I used the non-shiny side). There's a lot I want to change and fix but I hope this gives you an idea where to start.

Anyways:

Blouse-used a shirt as the base pattern and sewed it that way. I say put a zipper in the back instead of buttons in the front like I did since it pulled the fabric. It only took me about three days to make since it was tricky to figure out where I wanted the front of the blouse to fall.

Skirt: I bought mine off of ebay

Though it's Asian sizes so I barely fit into their largest size (I'm a fatty) but there are a ton of different styles out there to chose from.

Then just red shoes and tights.

If you're new to wigs I just sewed some long wefts into a short wig and sewed a bought bun into it. I'm not on Damaramegido's scale but I'm learning more everyday. So please enjoy my derp face at the ECCC meetup.
