I'm looking for advice on pic related. I live in the tropics, so there's no need for a winter coat, and I don't visit winter countries very often either (but I'd like to be fashionable when I do, currently, I have sports winter wear for winter). In this state, would it be worth it to get this coat or to wait for it secondhand?

Also, how warm are these coats usually? Do these coats require dry cleaning or is washing at home okay? TIA.

Hi, Southeast Asian here. Could this be a stylistic choice for a rope fashioned into a belt? I don't think there's a specific name for it, then again, cultures are very diverse here, so I may not be covering all the bases.
