Not all punks are lolitas and not all lolitas are punks. But I can't say I'd be caught in a Bad Brains concert wearing H.Naoto; likewise I doubt anyone else there is going to wear anything they don't want destroyed. But punks are just as materialistic as everyone else about fashion. Hairspray and denim doesn't pay for itself dude.

In a way I can agree with this. But punk lolita feels more like punk + frills than a cut-and-dry lolita substyle to me anyway. A lot of people lose sight of punk trying to make it lolita. You're supposed to be a hot mess, fucking roll with it dude.

It's worth mentioning here that the Japanese sense 'punk' is very much a visual fashion with specific cues, rather than a ragingly anarchistic ethos.
