Hats and braids! I don't really have the thin problem (it's on the thinner side, though) but I know the feels of having pin-straight hair that won't hold a curl for a minute.

In this outfit, I braided my hair around where the hat met my head. Other times, I braid my hair down in two and pin them up underneath the hat. If I don't wear a hat, I usually rock a sockbun or crown braids. I never wear my hair down.

I've thought about getting an electric perm, but I'm terrified of it turning out like a poodle perm. It might be something that you could look into though!
