First off: if you want an entire head-to-toe outfit in "fancy, professional, deluxe" quality you're going to really struggle to get it for under $100 even if it is mass-produced.
But anyway my general tips are
>look for listings with multiple angles and detail shots. AVOID any listing where the picture is just a screencap from the original movie/show
>find sites that have reviews WITH IMAGES
>browse social media (especially Instagram) for posts that have tagged the costume maker to see how their product looks when worn
>if you're looking for a specific character, visit the subreddit for the show/movie/series or search the Replica Prop Forum to see what other fans have done for the outfit
