I want to make Gundam's scarf but I'm unsure of what material to use. All I can think of is fleece but knowing his character I bet it's something much more elegant. As for the design, I found a tutorial that just printed out the design on card stock, cut it out with an exacto knife, and painted it on with fabric paint. I feel some gunmetal studs would look nicer but may weigh everything down depending on the fabric.

All I can think of is fleece but I think a dark purple in fleece would look bad and I'm sure his scarf is actually a nicer material. Also, for the design I found a tutorial that just printed the design on card stock, cut out the squares with an exacto knife, then used the card stock as a stencil and filled it in with fabric paint. I worry that'd look too cheap and was considering buying some square studs in a gunmetal color but idk if that'd weigh down the scarf too much.
