Starting this off with a warning for descriptions of nosebleeds.
i like them because, if done correctly, nosebleeds imply that said character has been in a fight, and that sort of thing is just plain interesting.
problem is, most people don't know how to realistically recreate bloody noses, so it just looks like crap. If you plan to do nosebleed makeup, look up pics of nosebleeds. try to recreate that.
I get nosebleeds constantly because of dry temps etc., so for those of you who aren't sure what a nose bleed's like-
the blood gushes p. fast, so there's going to be a lot of it going in 3 or four directions, depending on which way your head is tilted, if your mouth is open, etc.
there's enough of it that it's not a stupid bright red. it's dark red.
if you wipe your nose when you have a nose bleed, its just gonna keep flowing.
