ohh. well for some muscles suits for sentai are just upholstery foam cut to shape and Glued to a zentai suit and then covered in another zentai suit or whatever fabric.
Sometimes they use a technique Called Piping while sewing to make circular ridges coming from the suit

But to get back to confessions:
To this day, I'm still scared shitless of the thought of cosplay that doesn't involve a mask or helmet. Not because I'm ugly or anything (people have said that I'm pretty cute), but because with wigs and styling and makeup, I'm terrified of botching something and having it look dumb.

But either way, tell your friend that the fact that she's going through each day trying to take steps back into a normal life shows an incredible amount of strength. I know that if I were in her shoes, I wouldn't even be able to think about cosplaying ever again. I know it doesn't mean much coming from an anonymous poster, but I'm rooting for you. (And anyone trash-talking you is a cunt, and you can revel in the fact that you're a far stronger soul than they'll ever be.)
