Brand I'm not picky about but I'm heavily into the Kamikaze Girl style of oldschool. Nonprint, lace accents, etc. I'd love actual dresses from the 90s-early 2000's but I'd even go for more recent releases with the same styling if they were decently priced. Thank you so much just for offering!

If it looks good, I would think you can call it lolita. Or are we going to call pic related not-lolita now, because generally, you don't wear a petti under old-school BTSSB babydoll dresses. And those who do generally wear deflated ones. Seen a few good new-school coords without petti too, but I'm to lazy to search for them. Momoko is a good enough example I hope.

Like I said, many Japanese lolita's don't wear a petti in lolita every day, even when wearing sweet Angelic Pretty. I've seen pink AP skirts without petti, with black loose t-shirts with a pink print, black OTKs with pink dots and black platform shoes with bows walking on Japanese streets and it walls called lolita. Western people are defiantly more precise about the looks.

I'm a lone lolita

Sorry if theres a thread already, i didnt see one! (im also new with this so i apologize in advance for any mistakes)

I actually have a very large local community and from what i can tell theyre very nice! ive been to a few meetups and theyve been super welcoming but i have extreme anxiety and its hard for me to actually enjoy myself? im also worried about making everyone around me uncomfortable as well.
i feel like im missing out on such a fun experience in the fashion (probably because so many lolitas talk about what theyve done at meets and stuff, it makes me feel like its something i "should" be doing if that makes sense)
I kind of wanted to ask if anyone else has struggled with something similar preventing them from going to meetups and what you do for lolita activities? or if you live too far from a comm; what do you like doing in lolita?

I want to enjoy a bit of the lifestyle aspect of the fashion but tea parties are a little too much for me at the moment!

If you guys are having problems, there's probably not much hope for me. Not sure about curvy, but my waist is much smaller than my bust... I guess I can always find something that looks similar.

Damn these DDDs. I'm not even overweight and I still have fitting problems.
