Wow, I work at a UPS store and this sounds completely fucked up. If it was a shipment originating with the store, they should have been able to give her the tracking number, the address it was sent to, and the delivery status right away, not tell her to call corporate. She also should have been given a tracking number when she initially sent the shipment. Did she print her own label? It's just really weird that she didn't have the tracking number.

If the store made the label and shipped it to a different address than what was given to them, then you should be covered.
If she gave them an incorrect address, or printed her own label, you're pretty much SOL unless you can track them down yourself. Someone should be able to tell you exactly where the damn thing was sent though. What the heck.

Sorry for the autism I just get stressed out over shipments. If I sent someone's burando to a wrong address I would be flipping the fuck out.
