Re: Open toed shoes: If you don't like the socks+sandals look, you can opt out of legwear, especially if the weather is really warm. If your shoes are cute enough I think you could pull it off just fine, pic related.
I don't have any example coords at hand but it's possible that the half sheer tights and stockings that were popular a while back (think Baby's meme socks) would also look good with it. Alternatively, there are also toeless pantyhose (inb4 Frances lol) if you want to wear some form of legwear without the unfortunate socks+sandals look, but that's just an idea.
