HR wants to tighten down our fucking dress code
> Current policy: don’t be an imbecile, wear shoes or soled slippers at all times in the office, look generally employable, approachable, and smell unoffensive.

They can do what they want, but imo they are handling this VERY poorly.

>First, appearance is not a creeping problem at work with our employees. This is in response to one person. We have hundreds of employees who otherwise aren’t an issue, at all, whatsoever. One person goes to piratebay, and instead of having a talk with them, everyone just loses internet access, that sort of mentality.

> The “problem” they are trying to fix is a new lolita. She’s fine, she just wore head to toe bright pink. Once. I think she has already realized how much that stood out because she has already switched to muted pinks, blacks, and grays, and her coords are nice and not at all OTT.

>This is a work place that encourages employees to dress up for halloween and paint their faces for sports ball days. Now they will need to write a dress code that somehow doesn’t punish all of the tattooed, dyed, alternative people who are still considered well groomed and professional, yet clearly excludes full pink coords.

I hope enough of us appeal to HR to stop this nonsense.
Sincerely, a pissed off (and worried) office gothloli.

>PS I know it probably won’t even affect me much, but what if this kills her confidence and she feels singled out, come on, man, she’s all I have there, everyone else is like rockabilly.
