All this. I've been sewing for 10+ years but only really got the hang of commercial patterns about 5 years ago. Also Sailor Moon Stuff always has huge other variations

>Yellow versus blonde wigs for Usagi and Venus
>Spandex or dull bridal satin
>Using shapewear under spandex bodice
>Quality of gloves: crappy party store satin versus decent spandex
>Accessories/Props: Hardest part, not easy for a beginner to make. Some decent brooches, tiaras and props on etsy and chinese sellers
>Shoes: Pattern doesn't go into boot covers at all so they need to make these or find boots that don't look like stripper shoes.
