here's a cosplay that i'm still not 100% happy with but have a lot of fun wearing. i do want to buy a larger black wig so i can get the fuller hair but i don't know if it's worth it at this point.

True. Being asked for photos in Quebecois French was a strange experience, but by the end of the weekend people were mistaking me for French because of the accent I picked up so quickly. It was dang catchy. Or I'm just susceptible to it.

That's pretty true actually. I was surprised at the overlap of dealers and artists, there were so many dealers from Ontario! I was expecting more of a variety. But I don't go to cons to shop anyway, so it didn't bother me too much. The cheap food was amazing, we had a bursting takeout container from Jade for 11 bucks that filled up both me and my boyfriend for the Friday night. Good luck doing that in Toronto. But the locations to shoot in were so gorgeous. One thing I was confused about was if there was a photoshoot list? Everyone seemed to know what they were doing and where to go, but I had no idea.

Back on topic to FanEx... is anyone actually shelling out cash for a photo or autograph this year? I need a photo with Cathy Weseluck while I'm cosplaying Cybersix. There's no questioning that. Good thing her photos are free!

i don't think i've ever been glomped by someone, but when i was much younger i took a running hug to one of my friends in the hall at school and knocked them over. i realized it was dangerous and never did it again. a few years later at AN, my other friend had back problems, was cosplaying, and was glomped. she was in a lot of pain and we felt terrible. so we made an effort to guard her back at the con for the rest of the weekend.
now people just ask me for hugs, and i give them. no glomps.

Damn excited! First con in a while I'll be walking around in cosplay and not worried about other shit to do. Seems that a lot of other Ontario kids are going this year too. I've heard that you don't need to know any French to get by in Montreal, but with my luck I'll probably run into all the Quebeckers who don't know English when I need to know where the bathroom is. SALLE DE BAIN??? SALLE DE BAIN!!?

i had my weeb stage from age 13-17 so it was a long one but thankfully i am more self aware now. but my parents still don't forget hahah.
we went to a family reunion and we had to write out answers for a family quiz beforehand, but my parents never told me this and filled mine out for me. at the reunion it was read to about 150 people "and the award for most creative entry in the "what i want to be when i grow up" category is... EMPEROR OF JAPAN!!"
i was 21 years old.
i won a samurai sword from the dollar store.
