The last few times I went, it was horrible. I cannot tell you the amount of frat boy types that were there clearly trolling for pussy and that was just...it was like being in a Facebook comment thread.

Also, I shouldn't have to go to a COMIC con and literally hear someone say "who the fuck is Stan Lee" out loud.

And Colossal. Colossal is getting pretty bad too population-wise. I honestly don't think the con itself is big enough for the crowd it draws. Because let's be real it's about the pool and the drinks at this point.

Same. I missed last years because of deployment, and can't do this year but I recall a couple years ago, being in the hot tub on like day 3 and some dude came out and said the pre-rooms sold out in an hour.

I didn't even know it was announced.

My first year going was just from me being in Ohio at the time and googling anime cons to see the local schedule. No problems for badges or hotels.

But man, Colossal isn't worth this hassle to be honest.

As a con, it's garbage, the only reason to go is for the drinks and the pools.

Anyway, Colossal as a con isn't that great. Take away the waterpark and the booze and you got nothing.

I pretty much only go to this one to see friends and wander around drunk in cosplay.

I had this issue with them too, it took me a number of emails and spreadsheets but when I got the suit it was down to EXACT specifications.

Double edged sword though, I over estimated how part of it was supposed to look and it looked terrible when brought from paper to life, BUT like I said it was made exactly as I designed so, I can only be mad at myself.
