You're overthinking this by decades. Are you always going to be calculated and scripted for every part of your relationship? You need to be able to think stuff like this for yourself if you're gonna get anywhere with any woman. Being a man who is attractive to others comes from knowing who you are and how you're going to do things in your own way. You need your own sense of style; what you think actually looks cool and stylish. I don't know what the other thread was like, but a lolita is a female (sometimes) with an interest in lolita dresses. You may like the way they dress, but they're just people with a special interest. Confidence + good social skills + genuine interest in lolita + not overthinking / being yourself = lolita girlfriend.

Man, I have to finish my Captain Marvelous cosplay at some point. I have everything but the coat finished. I left the bag of red velvet on the subway when I fell asleep on it. I shall be making a return to Fanime this year. I love Fanime and I totes missed out last year. Gonna be Krauser from DMC and something else or two I haven't decided yet. I've got like 4 halfway done costumes and a bunch of ideas, so budget and time will be the deciding factor over the next two weeks. I haven't been back in action and cosplaying for a while, so I'm really, really looking forward to this! I cosplayed Jon Snow at Wondercon and that was really super fun (but very hot so I'm not wearing it to Fanime) so I totally can't wait.

Also, a picnic sounds WHACK. I say do it like we do over here in California: have a meetup in a very general location take a couple of pics, hang out, and then go about your day. No reason why we should all hang out with each other and eat at a picnic. I mean really? A picnic? Do you not have $5 for food and you're at a con WHY?
