I feel so bad for anyone who waited in line for events. When i walked by the Spiral Cats line, they had everyone waiting outside. At noon. With zero shade. I did see them giving out free water on Sat, but.. not where it was needed? They were standing near the food trucks, should have taken it to the various lines and shit.

They also need to find a solution to people stopping in the WORST POSSIBLE PLACES FOR PHOTOS. Holy shit. At one point a guy was taking photos of a spiderman cosplayer, taking up the entire hallway, no space to go around behind him. No one wanted to walk through, and the photographer acted like we were such assholes for walking in front of him.

3/10. Wont come back if I'm not local. I cant imagine shelling out for hotel or travel. It's such a shitty con, WAY too crowded. Shit guests this year, too. It was all around boring and overcrowded (Also thanks for the AC, LACC!!!!!!)

The stream was so annoying, I only walked by Saturday to see the Jojo Q and A, and people were straight up camping in front of the camera posing for ages. Just staring at the screen posing. Even when the stream changed to the stage, some idiots still kept posing thinking people could see them.

You can't paint it on. You'd have to be wearing it when you paint it, and even then the moment you move in a way that makes the shirt stretch, the paint will crack. I'd suggest sewing or heat n bond, but even then a compression shirt stretches SO MUCH when you wear it, they wont work very well either. You'd be better off with spandex.

I cosplayed Rinko from Gundam Build Fighters at Fanime. A few people recognized me, but not many (especially considering the size of Fanime)

I'll be there! Im pretty excited, the park is always great for photos.

Shouldnt be a problem, just don't expect it to get much positive attention if you take it outside the park. If youre taking transit, maybe cover it in garbage bags or something simple like that.

Another costume done in a night, Asukas 2.0 nightgown using left over materials. Feels nice to be able to make a costume without spending anything extra, even if it's simple.

yeah, my advice is just go in to a dance store and ask them for the lightest color skin color they have in capizio brand. their "nude" is actually pretty dark. Theyre not noticable at all, really! when i wear them with costumes like cammy, people ask how i can show so much skin.

its a pasty. a skin colored piece of fabric with adhesive on the back. it probably started to slide a bit which is why its wrinkled.

Just make a page, a secondary account will get forgotten. You'll have to log out and back in every time you want to use it, and you wont be able to use it on mobile, really. A page is literally the same thing as a secondary profile, with the added bonus of not having to accept friend requests.

if you can find a white pair that fits, angelus sells a paint that works AMAZINGLY on pleather/PU boots. angelusdirect.com/collections/neon-paint

pic related, it takes a few coats (i'd reccomend the 4oz) but covers really well and doesnt crack at all

threw together a base for Yura in, like, 45 minutes. Still have have a lot of adjustments to make, but its a start.

I didn't even know either of these 'cons' were happening today. we suddenly got a bunch of groups of weebs in cosplay come in to my work, so i just figured it was one of those picnics or gatherings.

I dunno, a few years ago youmacon got fucked over by going fully electronic, but then again AX has been doing it for years without problem (that im aware of) so we'll see

Weebs started reselling their stuff from china super cheap, and then 50$ costumes became expected. I see people trying to sell wonderfully made costumes on there for appropriate prices, but theyre forced to constantly drop the price because 13 year olds arent willing to pay.

I wish Coscom would just die out. Not only has the marketplace kind of killed resale of costumes, but its just an all around shitty website. It was great for its time but now its just outdated and bad.

I really hope Cospix gets more popularity, but at the same time its lacking the marketplace/forum that coscom has. I do like that they cater towards cosplayers AND photographers, though.

As for the dress, Agreeing that you need to move the pleats down. Pic related, sushimonster posted a photo that helps give an idea of where it should be! Shes also got some other progress photos that might help.

Didnt realize the photo was so blurry until it was too late.. ah well. Started Iras bracers, theyve got a long way to go but it's something.

Oooh yes def gonna keep an eye on this thread, I really love ballgowns and have been looking for another excuse to make one
