Buy dresses from your friends! Keep an eye out for what they're selling- you won't have to pay for shipping if they live near you, they're happy that they get to sell their dress fast, and you'll probably get a good deal. Also, if there's any kind of issue with the item, it's easy to resolve if it's somebody you know. I've gotten some really great deals buying stuff from my friends and it's sweet to see them happy that I like it and wear it a lot.

When it comes to blouses and cutsews, make sure you have both plain, 'dress-up-able' tops and super fancy ones. Over-fancy blouses won't look good with fancy JSKs and plain blouses will make a skirt outfit look unbalanced, so it's important to have both.

Don't be afraid to ask your friends for criticism on your outfits or potential purchases- you'd rather hear a negative opinion in a polite way from them than from a bunch of dickwits on the secrets.
