The only thing remotely close to everything else in this thread is when I was in my Drawing for Sequa class. The professor for that class has worked in the industry, and created lots of characters for DC including Stephanie Brown's run as Spoiler.

So we all have to do realistic and then american comic style drawings for this class, really informative and interesting. This one girl refused to draw anything but Anime and kept getting F's on her assignments because of it. One day she publicly goes up to the professor and calls him a racist anda biggot because he wont let her use a superior style. She goes on for a few minutes before the professor tells her if she wants to be homeless and not get a job she can continue to use her style, but she would need to leave the class and never come back because he didn't want to teach a failure.

She never came back to that class. Thank god though she was terribly obnoxious.

She'd be ripped apart in a Sequential Art major anyway. Any good professor will rip you to shreds. I have seen many a weeb dream crushed.

SAGE for unrelated to actual topic but I had that problem for my whole first year in my department. And considering I am in the Sequential department is is essentially professors telling you to stop drawing that japanese shit.

Just do realism all summer and then go back and stylize. Helped me get rid of all my animu influence. I can still draw it if I want, but it isnt the default anymore. Goodluck anon.

Absolutely. I spent equal amount of times in con center and in the city last year. There is so much to do and see. There were also events like the Adventure Time art gallery and the like being held OUT of the convention center.

According to those working at Nick, Early april is target date the korra team wants to get it out. The episodes are pretty much done, only a few color corrections being done still.

Just depends on when Nick actually gives them the go ahead. Apparently nick is being ridiculous with scheduling.

Posting some of the better Korra's I have saved. I can't for the life of me find the girl who is my favorite though..

This was one of the first costumes I made completely by myself and I'm glad I did. I loved being able to be in Jojo, everyone from the fandom is really cool. I need to get a new wig and remake the mobcap but overall I was happy with it.

Oh god damn these people whining about the Gazebo drive me nuts. What happened to cosplaying because you enjoy the character and just want to hang around in costume. "Oh I couldn't do my tons of photoshoots at the Gazebo and get a million photos of me in XYZ costume so the con was ruined for me"

To be fair, there are usually always Cop Cars. I can't recall the last time I was at Katsu and someone wasn't getting arrested. Last year it was for people being obviously drunk, I can assume it was the same this year.
