I've always wondered about this, I notice for a decent amount of things it looks like people just "make" a bulk load of cheap shirts from zazzle or whatever third party decal making place and sell them off..is this really how alot of this stuff works?

Yeah me either, it's great!

And yeah for me the worst was waiting in line for the LiSA concert that stretched outside and had us sitting there for like 2 hours

Yeah it really sucked last year during AX it was in the mid/high 90s while I was doing a tf2 sniper cosplay in all black with a black mask..shit was terrible.

And I just used the weather bug app on my iphone.

Yeah, I get that now but im glad a good thing came out of this, while on the hunt for a tailor to fix it up I ran into this costume shop in my area that does full custom fitted costumes for a reasonable rate. So im set on that from now on.

In the end I was really 50/50 with this thing, the thing that really got to me was the fact that it wasn't the same costume that is shown in the upper right hand corner. It has this elastic at the sleeves that poof the arms out and it was too long both on the sleeves and cape part.

In the end I just sent to a cheap tailor to cut it down to size a bit so its alright now I guess. Oh well next time I am just going to spend the money on getting a custom made costume designed since thats what I spent all together for this.

I will admit that it is not an easy thing to guage when it comes to fansub communities.

I guess I should have re-worded it. the best way I could describe it is to say that shows that could have been made into good "niche" with popularity outside of the US get ignored and while that may not be much as far as profits go everything adds up. I guess the first show that would come to mind for me would have to be Nichijou, again. I am aware of the difficulty in gauging fansubbing I still say that alot of shows died off too early.

Anyways, why did this argument become so big in here? Jeez.

Ok.

>not just lol we pirated fansubs support

You do realize thats what I am talking about right?

Why do you think these shows need to be pirated? They get popularity outside of japan but that is never talked about within whatever studio so there is no deals made with crunchyroll or any other legitimate subbing service thus killing the show.

>> No.6932259 [View]

>>6932252
How so? Have you never heard of shows being supported pretty heavily outside of japan that end up dying because the only fanbase that is cared for is the japanese? While it is not that main cause of the anime industry as a whole failing its a part of it.

There are a decent amount of companies that refuse to pay attention to a shows popularity outside of Japan thus leading to alot of shows being killed off way too early which leads to major money losses in the end.

>> No.6932218 [View]

Another thing is Japan as well. Alot of them refuse to move with the times and rid their xenophobia.

I really don't see why more people don't do this. Not only is it cheaper but having a group to hang with for things is another plus.

No real issue with that imo.

I think he just means don't cosplay just to fit in for the photoshoots..do what you want to do not because you want popularity and attention.

Anything chocolate, but I was just messing around with that you don't have to bring anything.
