On the COBO side:
Friday's big ones will be a horror movie panel with Lauren Landa/Brad Swaile/Joel McDonald/Tyson Rinehart, Ken Pontac is bringing back the Happy Tree Friends (I have his box of bloody hands in my living room. Take them.), and this year's VO After Dark will start out with Noah Watts, Jon St. John, David Eddings, Kieran Strange, and Robbie Daymond.
Saturday night.. Jon St. John will be helping us host a guest auction to help out Sarah Sullivan with fundage while she trucks through breast cancer treatments during the WTVO panel. There's also a Space Dandy vs. Cowboy Bebop panel.. the Wesker's Erotic Fanfiction Reading ended up with a C&D from Capcom, so that is now a duo Mass Effect/Rescue Bots panel being put on by DC Douglas and Steve Blum.. Team4Star has their 18+ then, and MST4k will be going on as well.

To my understanding, we're waiting for GM to give it to us in writing, so they can't pull shade later. We just found out about it as department heads not too long ago as well. It's...inconvenient, to say the least. For everyone, remember to wear comfortable shoes and keep hydrated! I know of at least 3 departments that have been skyping nightly to haul ass on the schedule to make up for lost time because of the submission delay. We really do appreciate the patience that's been shown so far. For those of you who are getting pissy..good! Glad you're that excited to see what's in store! The gi is what her costume is called. Let me see if I can whip up something sometime tonight or tomorrow on how I did mine. I will make it with the arm sides closed, since that makes it easier to hide a bra in and to keep the fabric stay in place.

Francesca Dani was basically the original in this sort of thing. She would try to pass off Ebay costumes and friends' works as her own, while throwing her sex appeal to the masses of fanboys. The last I'd seen, she had been doing porn/tease for Varitease and faded into obscurity..sans for a few threads here and there over on anon-ib. Liars get caught in this community fairly easily.

I wouldn't exactly call myself overtly defensive. Questions get asked and I try to answer them as much as I can, straight to the point with any flowery customer service language. I honestly cannot say what's going on in other departments unless I can get ahold of them personally. If you guys do have personal/specific questions, the best way to get through is the official FB page. You may not get an immediate response, but the messages are seen and being handled.

Thank you for those names of bands. I haven't been into the j-music scene myself since Malice Mizer was big, so this will be a good starting point to check out what's newer. Is there anyone else worth checking out for bringing out next year?

I checked through this year and last year's request pages and pulled up the j-requests:
Lotus Juice - Gig in Japan that weekend
Babymetal - Too expensive for our budget
KOTOKO - Unavailable
FEMM - MTV's recent promotions have pushed them up near Babymetal status.
AKB48 - Expensive
Perfume - Expensive

And no, if you are so versed in the industry overseas, you would also know all of the extra manpower and money that goes into bringing these bands over. I'm also asking for your suggestions on these smaller independent bands, in case they haven't come across the threads or emails. Or, if you'd like to simply vent here, that's fine too. I know they've been tried for and I also know we have two more music folk that are pretty damn relevant to the industry than you may care... location of origin and language spoken being irrelevant.
