Kanzaki came out with the cutest racing Miku ever and an even cuter swimsuit ver. of his racing Miku design and my roommate agreed to take my commission for it!! It's gonna be so fucking cute I'm screaming, I haven't cosplayed Miku in years and I'm so happy to have her in my lineup again!

I love this con but holy shit why is everyone so goddamn sloppy when drunk. Some of y’all were YELLING about doing drugs, puking/pissing anywhere, and I had to help break up two fights. Everyone is way too old to be acting this way, it’s embarrasing to watch.

Really don’t want to get involved in this but making swimwear is actually much more difficult than cutting out shapes; It’s one of the last classes offered in most costume design/production programs for that reason. I learned the hard way the past two Colossals that swimwear isn’t an “easy” project and requires as much effort and dedication as most costumes involving many more pieces.

ALA is small but a fun party con, Holiday Matsuri is nice for christmas/winter theme cosplays, and Katsucon is a little later in the year (February) and kind of a clusterfuck of a con, but the venue is super pretty

Cosplay is a hobby meant to be fun before anything else, so I'd say go ahead and cosplay whoever you want, regardless of whether your body type matches theirs. While having a body type that matches the character you're cosplaying can make your cosplay look more "accurate" or more like that character has come to life, having the exact body type of certain characters is downright impossible, so I wouldn't get too hung up on the body type piece of cosplay. Trying to only cosplay characters that "match" your body type also limits how many characters you may allow yourself to cosplay or cause you to think you can't cosplay a favorite character, which just takes the fun out of it. If you're using a cosplay as a goal to get in shape, however, that could be good motivation to invest in your health!
