Eesh. Sorry. I may have gotten a little carried away there. I wanted to get all of the detail and didn't think to use a photobucket or something similar. Please forgive me.

Last one I could find. Green butterfly necklace with about $80 worth of crystals. Willing to let it go for $50, but price is negotiable. The leather straps can be easily replaced with ribbons to make it girlier, and I'll post a back shot in a second.

This is a pin that was found at an estate sale and cleaned up. It can also act as a clip, which you'll see in the next photo. Be very careful if you decide to use this as a hair clip since it's a little heavier than most hair clips and not suitable unless you're pinning it in like a mofo. $10

Found one of the hair clips. Sorry for the tacky lolbedspread pictures, I couldn't find any decent fabric to use as a backdrop. Prices are negotiable, but something like this would usually go for around $15-$20, possibly lower if you purchase more than one item.

I'm staying at my parent's house up north until after Christmas, but I'll post pics once I get home. They've got Swarovski crystals and are meant for super thick hair. The spring part is really strong, too. I've got a necklace somewhere around here that someone might be able to use in a coord. Lemme go find it real quick and post a pic.

These threads seem like they're for clothes and wigs, but I've got a bunch of really nice hair clips for longer hair just sitting in my jewelry box. They've never been used since I have shorter hair and they're more fit for long, thick loli wigs. Would anyone want that sort of thing, or is selling/trading hair accessories kind of a no-no in these threads?

It was like the party people were all migrating to different rooms and were always one step ahead of the cops. It was the best thing ever.

I think a lot of lolita styles are pretty in a conceptual way, but I'd think anyone wearing it out and about to get groceries or something would be kind of silly.

Whenever I'm on my period and the rest of /cgl/ is especially brutal or catty, I think the rest of you are on the rag, too. It's horrifying to think about.

I have no respect or pity for fat cosplayers/lolitas who keep complaining about their weight. It's just asking for asspats. If you were really concerned about your weight, you'd do something about it. Fat people who have a legitimate thyroid problem or who are comfortable with their bodies are okay.

Some of the so-called "creepy" photographers are actually pretty chill dudes who laugh about the cosplay community and think the majority of you are whiny cunts.

I like God and his cosplays.

More of an antihero than a villain, but Dogwelder might be up your alley. The guy has got some serious problems.

My mom calls cosplaying "dressing up like your animes." She gets a kick out of seeing a bunch of people in pretty costumes whenever I show her pictures from a con. She also refers to Madoka as "Magical Maracas." Super kawaii.

Cigarettes, water, and whatever food deals I can wiggle out of hotel staff by schmoozing with them. Got a comp'd dinner a few times during Katsucon for being personable and talking with front desk people for a while.

There's something very different about small town hillbilly weebs.

It also works for picking at them if the reason you're doing it is because the skin is uneven. Sorry for speed-reading through your comment.

>> No.6442499 [View]

>>6442490
If you're biting at your lips because they're chapped, try taking a wash cloth and roughly scrubbing at your lips after a shower to slough all of the dead/uneven skin off. It'll hurt like a bitch at first, but you'll have a new layer of skin that can heal faster. Carry around some flavored lip balm or something so that putting it on throughout the day won't feel like such a chore.

>> No.6442491 [View]

Keep your nails trimmed down short and carry around a nail file/clippers with for when you break a nail or something so that you won't be tempted to gnaw it down. Once you get them to a normal length, try painting them a vibrant color to deter biting at them. Nobody likes messy-looking nails. Orly no bite is a brand of bitter-tasting polish that you can try using, and it's usually under $5 a bottle. Good luck.

Ah, alright, then. Again, I apologize. The cosplay and general convention community has been around for a very long time, which is awesome. It's always fun listening to stories from older fans about shows, conventions, or how they've applied their costume-sewing skills to things like sewing their kids' cosplays/Halloween costumes.

I apologize if it came across as a derailment attempt. I was making a reference to a very old /cgl/ joke and hoped that a few other people would remember. It won't happen again.
