Sometimes. Though the great thing is having a well-paying job that'll support a fantastic hobby without having to run crying to mommy everytime you see an awesome cosplay you want to do. That and it's not like you'd be changing friends to the younger crowd, you'd be growing with the friends you've already made. Doesn't apply to everyone though, I know quite a few guys with Peter Pan syndrome that love to hit on underage girls.

I'm a dude lol. And like I said, I really hate making these things. And I didn't really get paid enough to bother with boning. I still need to add the straps and the useless side belts that'll cinch it closer to her waist, and then make the two-toned tights (I refuse to cheat and buy the premade hot topic crap). Question though, anyone ever made tights? I need to know by how much I need to reduce the measurements so that it'll be snug without cutting off circulation.

Also progress on an Arkham City Harley Quinn commission, I guess it counts for progress? I hate making corsets but I have to admit, this doesn't look half bad.

Just a bit more sanding then it's off to the painting room for my Wizard helmet. I would have more progress but running my own cosplays concurrently with commissions that need to be done is taking up too much of my schedule.

So much potential wasted. Why is he wearing yoga pants? I like this one though, it'd make a truly fearsome Mando warrior if they had adamantium skeletons, claws and healing factors.

Sorry, did you copy-paste the entire link there? Here's the tutorial image anyways. Otherwise, vinyl is usually glued onto craft foam to lend it rigidity; this technique will let you duplicate metal/plastoid armor without the weight of actual metal.

EVA foam as the base, and vinyl wrap it to get that clean look?

Anon is right, Google is your friend. Otherwise, there's a Help Thread already, post your question there please >>6523364

Well, you can either go for EVA foam, or you can opt for the slightly pricier but easier to work with Worbla. Either way, measure twice, cut once. You don't want to be halfway done with your build before you realize it isn't sitting right. My advice would be to make a cardboard pattern first, sit it on yourself or your dressform, and then transfer it onto the EVA (or worbla). EVA IS a tad more forgiving, and you can either use the 1/4' stuff, or the thicker 1/2" one. You can get EVA from either Home Depot or Big Lots (in a 10' roll) or Worbla from online.

Progress of my first HS cosplay that I'm bringing to Katsucon. I'm getting a lot of flack for actually getting into the web series, but I actually enjoy it despite the last few sets being rather dull. Still need to clean up the eyelines, but at least my vision won't be impaired.

Yikes. 2008 - Hei, Darker than Black. No wig. Modified trench coat. Hockey mask covered with paper-mache and spackle. Home depot work gloves.

2012 - Wild Tiger - EVA Foam, bodysuit, blood sweat and tears.

Although, if m00t did that there'd be no threads left on this board, since anons are just as guilty of circlejerking as tripfags are.

I actually only have one pet peeve. Lazy Gray Fullbuster cosplay. Seriously. Wig. Pants. Get some. Just cause you're ripped enough to be Gray doesn't mean you look like the guy with your bowlcut and those $75 pair of jeans that say "i overpay for all my shit"
